Häuserl im Wald - Graz

On the edge of the Leechwald forest in the Graz district of Mariatrost lies the Häuserl im Wald, a traditional restaurant with a quiet location in nature and good connections to the city. The restaurant features cozy dining rooms, winter gardens, and several spacious terraces overlooking blooming gardens. Especially in the warm months, the shady outdoor beer garden with views of the greenery and adjacent adventure playground invites guests to linger.

The kitchen serves continuous warm Austrian classics such as traditional fried chicken, boiled beef (Tafelspitz), or calf liver, complemented by seasonal vegetarian and fish dishes. In the in-house pastry shop, there are homemade desserts like apple strudel and chestnut cake, also available for takeaway.

For celebrations, there is a large banquet hall, a wine cellar, and a seminar room available. Walking paths lead directly from the restaurant to the Legenstein Park with a forest pond and relaxation areas – ideal for a break in nature after the meal.
