Since 1925, flour has been ground and award-winning pumpkin seed oil has been pressed at the Haindl pumpkin seed oil mill in Kalsdorf. From flour for bread to baking courses, oils, and company tours, are offered here. 

What is heralded in summer by vast green fields adorned with bright yellow spots, reveals itself in autumn as a South Styrian treasure. With its mild, nutty flavor, Styrian pumpkin seed oil g.g.A. – made from the seeds of Styrian oil pumpkins – enhances salads, soups, and even pastries. At the Haindl seed oil mill, the seeds are gently pressed into pure Styrian pumpkin seed oil g.g.A., which has been awarded gold 16 times in a row and won 1st place in the Gault Millau in 2014.

The head of the house passionately leads her baking classes and takes care of the bread. From September to May, she hosts weekly bread-baking and Sterz cooking courses. Guided tours invite you to a “pumpkin culinary” exploration, by prior arrangement. On-site, you can not only purchase the pumpkin seed oil but also other regional specialties.
