Guided winter hike: At the foot of the Schöckl
Guided winter hike in the forest area at Schöckl near Graz.
Depending on the weather and snow conditions, an idyllic and cozy winter circular hike at the foot of Graz's local mountain.
Especially in winter, being active in the fresh air is a healthy treat and strengthens the immune system and well-being. We first follow the Mariazell pilgrimage path towards Schöcklkreuz and then on scenic routes to below Movistein. We return to St. Radegund along the Römerweg and past the ruins of Ehrenfels.
Meeting point: 9:15 AM, Bus stop St. Radegund Ort
Trail length: 12 km | Ascent 420 hm | Walking time approx. 4:30 hours
The end of the hike is around 3:00 PM, followed by a joint meal planned. Return trip individually from St. Radegund.
Arrival by public transport: RegioBus 250 from Graz - St. Radegund Ort, return trip from St. Radegund individually
Difficulty level: Hike without special difficulties, endurance for about 4.5 hours and over 400 meters of ascent required
Equipment: Good hiking/mountain shoes required for winter, crampons for ice, trekking poles recommended, warm winter/sports clothing (layering principle), backpack, hat, gloves, wind and rain protection, drink, snack, no meals during the hike
Costs: € 15.00 per person, payable on-site to the guide
Service: Guided snowshoe hike with certified mountain guides

The guided hike is conducted by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that last-minute changes may occur. Participation is at your own risk.
For safety and organizational reasons, the bringing of dogs is not permitted!
