Guided snowshoe hike: Seinerkreuz

This winter tour is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful snowshoe tours in the Graz adventure region, especially in snow and good weather. The 360-degree view from Seinerkreuz is worth every effort during the ascent.

From Hirschegg (Pongratzwirt), steadily ascending through the forest past the chapel of St. Bartholomew and over wide alpine meadows to Seinerkreuz with a magnificent view. The return is via the closed Saureishütte back to the starting point.

Meeting point: At 08:15, Köflach Train Station

Duration of the hike until around 15:00, return trip with taxi bus from Hirschegg to Köflach. Individual return from Köflach.

Trail length: 12 km | Ascent: 670 m | Walking time: approx. 5 hours.

Public transport access: with S-Bahn Graz – Köflach, transfer with taxi bus to Hirschegg and back (included), individual return from Köflach Train Station. 

Difficulty level: Moderate snowshoe hike depending on snow conditions, 700 meters of elevation gain and 5 hours of pure walking time. Some steeper ascents and descents.

Equipment: Good waterproof mountain shoes required for winter, snowshoes, ski or hiking poles, warm hiking/sports clothing (onion principle), backpack, gloves & hat, wind and snow protection, drink, snack, no stops during the hike.

Costs: € 15.00 per person, payable on-site to the guide.
Service: Guided hike with certified mountain guides, transfers by taxi bus.

The guided hike is organized by the Graz Region Tourism Association in collaboration with the hiking guides. Please note that short-term changes may be possible. Participation is at your own risk.
