Guided hike: Via the Turnersteig trail to Graden

Scenically impressive and partially a bit challenging, but always worthwhile – hikes in the beautiful Lipizzaner homeland.

In Köflach, we first go through the town past the Therme Nova, and from the Zigöllerkogel, the path steadily ascends. Via the Turnersteig, we reach the scenic mountain ridge through meadows and forests, which we follow to Hirtlkogel. From here, we descend back to Graden – also known as the home of the Kern Buam and the eponymous hiking trail.

Meeting Point: 08:15 AM, Köflach Train Station

Trail Length: 13 km | Ascent 550 m | Walking time approx. 5:00 hrs.

Duration of the hike until about 14:30, afterwards a stop in Graden is planned, return transfer by taxi bus to Köflach Station (included)

Arrival by Public Transport: by S-Bahn Graz - Köflach, return trip from Köflach individually  

Difficulty Level: Hike with some steeper ascents and descents, stamina required for approximately 13 kilometers, 550 meters of elevation, and 5 hours of walking time.

Equipment: Good footwear (hiking shoes) required, hiking clothing (layering principle), backpack, rain and sun protection, possibly hiking poles, drink, snack, no stop during the hike

Cost: € 15.00 per person, payable on-site to the guide
Service: Guided hike with certified mountain guides, return transfer to BHF Köflach

The guided hike is organized by the Graz Region Tourism Association in collaboration with the hiking guides. Please note that last-minute changes may occur. Participation is at your own risk.
For safety and organizational reasons, bringing dogs is not permitted!
