Guided hike: Via Novystein and Hohenberg
Colorful autumn hike from St. Radegund via Novystein and Hohenberg to Weinitzen.
If it gets uncomfortable at Schöckl in autumn, the colorful mixed forests and beautiful paths around St. Radegund offer wonderful hiking alternatives.
This hiking route leads from St. Radegund along a section of the Quellenweg past the ruins of Ehrenstein to Novystein and further to Hohenberg. From here, it goes down through Maria Schutz to Höchwirt in Weinitzen. Return trip by city bus from Dürrgraben.
Meeting point: 09:15 AM, bus stop St. Radegund Ort, ending in Weinitzen
Route length: 13.5 km | Ascent 420 m | Walking time approx. 4:30 hours.
Duration of the hike until around 3:00 PM, followed by a planned stop for refreshments, return trip by city bus from Dürrgrabenweg individually
Access by public transport: with RegioBus 250 from Graz – St. Radegund Ort, return trip with city bus line 41 from Dürrgrabenweg (no return to starting point – Public Transport hike)
Difficulty level: Hike without special requirements, fitness for approx. 4.5 hours and 400 meters ascent required
Equipment: Good hiking/mountain shoes for winter required, warm hiking/sportswear, backpack, gloves & hat depending on the weather, wind and rain protection, hiking poles recommended, drink, snack, no stop for refreshments during the hike
Costs: € 15.00 per person, payable on site to the guide
