Guided hike: Along the Roman Trail to Semriach
Hiking along old paths to the Badlschlucht with caves, stop at the little house in the forest.
This hike also follows the motto of the Graz Mountain Trail. This time, we will embark on and explore part of the first stage.
From Peggau, we follow old paths high above the impressive Badlschlucht with its caves – an area where the oldest human finds in Styria were discovered. We continue to the idyllic Schönegg, where we will comfortably stop at the inn "Häuserl im Wald." Afterwards, a circular hiking path leads us back to Peggau.
Meeting point: 08:30 AM, Peggau-Deutschfeistritz train station
Trail length: 14.5 km | Ascent 440 m | Walking time approx. 5:00 hours
The duration of the hike is until approximately 3:30 PM with a planned stop in Semriach during the hike, ending at Peggau-Deutschfeistritz train station
Access by public transport: via S-Bahn S1 Graz – Peggau-Deutschfeistritz, return from Peggau individually
Difficulty level: Hike without special requirements, fitness for approx. 5 hours and about 15 kilometers required
Equipment: Good footwear (hiking boots) required, hiking clothing (layering principle), backpack, rain and sun protection, possibly hiking poles, drink, snack, refreshment opportunity at the Mühlbacherhütte
Cost: € 15.00 per person, payable on site to the guide

The guided hike is conducted by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that last-minute changes may occur. Participation is at your own risk.
