Cinema: ‘Of soft and loud sounds’
French cinema art with music in the Polsterlkino Ligist.
On Saturday, December 13, 2025, it’s time for a film at the Polsterlkino Ligist again. The French comedy “From the Quiet and Great Tones” will be shown – a delicately told film about family, music, and the power of encounter. A successful conductor is confronted with a serious diagnosis and learns during his treatment that he was adopted. His search leads him to a small town in Northern France, and to a younger brother who works as a simple laborer and plays the trombone in a brass band. From initial foreignness, closeness slowly develops – carried by common tones.
The film by Emmanuel Courcol (France 2024, 104 min.) combines subtle humor with touching moments, just right for a cozy movie night in Advent.
