This is a wonderful hike that mostly runs through the picturesque forest.

Discover picturesque landscape backdrops and fantastic views of St. Peter am Kammersberg and Murau. On the way there are a few places to linger, rest and enjoy. A fantastic tour that promises great panoramas.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive towards Murau. In Katsch in der Mur keep right again and drive to St. Peter am Kammersberg.

Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. Keep left here and drive via Schöder to St. Peter am Kammersberg.

The starting point for this tour is the Volz Mühle (trout station) near the Katschbach. The hiking trail number 909 (Salzsteigweg) leads uphill on a gravel path. You then reach the alpine pastures via a hiking trail! You hike along the path via the Pogerhütte and Stolzhütte until you finally arrive at the Stolzalpe.

The way back is on the same route.

Public parking spaces are available directly in St. Peter am Kammersberg at the Volz Mühle am Katschbach.
