The Fohnsdorferhütte – A popular destination for pleasure hikers on the Gaaler Höhe
High above the valley, directly on the ridge of the Gaaler Höhe, the Fohnsdorferhütte awaits its visitors with a magnificent panoramic location and authentic Styrian cabin coziness. Located just a few meters below the summit cross, it offers an impressive view over the Seckauer Alps and the surrounding ridges of the Triebener Tauern.
Especially on weekends and holidays, the hut is a popular excursion destination: Hikers appreciate not only the idyllic location at 1490 meters but also the tranquil, original atmosphere that invites you to linger. Whether for a short break or an extended gourmet pause – the Fohnsdorferhütte is always a worthwhile destination.
Season & Management:
Open from May 1 to the last Sunday in September, only on weekends and holidays. During the week, the hut remains closed – perfect for enjoying weekends in nature.
