The Kargl holiday home is located in the idyllic village of Gaal in the Upper Styrian Murtal (800 m) in the middle of the Seckau Alps. The house was originally a smithy and is one of the oldest buildings in Gaal. The house is lovingly furnished and ideal for families or smaller groups of up to 8 people.
The village is a centre of attraction for those seeking peace and quiet, connoisseurs and sports enthusiasts and offers plenty of opportunities for recreation and leisure activities in both summer and winter. Beautiful hiking and cycling trails are in the immediate vicinity. The municipality of Gaal offers a variety of sports activities (incl. tennis, beach volleyball) and the Gaal bathing pond, "Schlossteich", invites you to swim and linger. A grocery shop and a café bakery are just a few minutes' walk away.Gaal is known as a very attractive skiing area and in winter you can go skiing at the Gaal lifts, night skiing, sledging and cross-country skiing in the Gaalgraben. In the surrounding area you will find many beautiful and recommendable inns, rustic alpine huts, unique nature experiences and numerous mountain lakes surrounded by 25 two-thousand metre peaks.
Just a few kilometres away is Seckau with its famous Romanesque Benedictine abbey and the delicious Seckau gingerbread! The nearby Red Bull Ring in Spielberg and the shopping town of Knittelfeld are also well worth a visit.
