The young band Baba Yaga will entertain guests this evening with wild Balkan pieces, klezmer tunes, lively swing, gypsy jazz, and oriental dances.
Baba Yaga, who originates from Slavic mythology, has always served as a muse for artistic and musical inspiration. She also inspired the young band “Baba Yaga” to take up Eastern European sounds, deliberately break down musical boundaries, and skillfully combine them. They sound virtuosic, fiery, and entice you to dance ecstatically. The sound remains pure and authentic: violin, double bass, guitar, vocals, accordion, and percussion—what more could you want? The five young artists come from Austria, Montenegro, and Israel and have been playing together since 2022. Their repertoire ranges from wild Balkan pieces, klezmer tunes, lively swing, gypsy jazz, and oriental dances to their own compositions, offering plenty of room for free improvisation.
