In her first book, Doris Schmidauer, wife of Alexander Van der Bellen and political scientist, talks very personally about friendship and family, her childhood and youth in the countryside, and the things that have shaped her life. She inspires women to follow their own path, trust themselves, and raise their voices powerfully and courageously. It is women who, through their courage and creative drive, make our “land of daughters” an even better place. Some of these pioneers also tell their stories in this book. Nina Horaczek, political scientist and chief reporter for the weekly newspaper “Falter,” has recorded Schmidauer's thoughts and will moderate this reading.
