From Vienna (approx. 2.5–3 hours):

Take the A2 towards Graz.

At 161-St. Michael junction, change to the S36 towards Judenburg.

Exit at Judenburg-Ost.

Continue on the B114 towards Trieben/Hohentauern.

In Trieben, turn into the Triebental valley.

Follow the road to the end of the valley to the Bergerhube (parking available).
From Graz (approx. 1.5–2 hours):

Take the A9 towards Linz/Salzburg.

Exit at 100-Trieben.

Continue on the B114 towards Judenburg.

In Trieben, turn into the Triebental valley.

Follow the road to the end of the valley to the Bergerhube (parking available).
From Salzburg (approx. 2.5–3 hours):

Take the A10 towards Villach.

At exit 63-Altenmarkt, change to the B320 towards Radstadt/Schladming.

Continue via Schladming to Liezen.

Join the A9 towards Graz.

Exit at 100-Trieben.

Continue on the B114 towards Judenburg.

In Trieben, turn into the Triebental valley.

Follow the road to the end of the valley to the Bergerhube (parking available).
You climb safely 200 metres in altitude over this ridge. In the forest that follows, there is a small track that is easy to follow. This area can also be used for the descent. You reach the timberline via this track. Here you follow the wide ridge. The last part to the summit is over the northern ridge to the Lattenberg. Watch out for the cornices in the direction of Liesingkar.
Unfortunately, this tour cannot be reached by public transport.
