This Bike& Hike tour shows you the Granitzenbach natural monument in its purest beauty. The leisurely 5-kilometre cycle route is the perfect preparation for the 11-kilometre hike.

The natural monument Grantizenbach was put under protection in 1989. You start on this hike with the exciting nature trail. The entrance to the theme trail is located at the parking lot opposite the Kleinpöltzl farm below the village of St. Wolfgang. You hike along a 500-meter forest road to the alpine rock garden and on to the maple platform. The trail continues along a forest path that leads over several wooden footbridges and wooden bridges along the Granitzenbach stream. Several adventure stations invite you to discover and participate.

The trail ends at the Schaumühle, where guided tours can also be booked (contact: Hubert Götschl, +43 664 73725408, hubert.goetschl@aon.at ) . From here the trail leads to the left along hiking trail number 316, which climbs steadily through a magnificent natural setting directly to the Alpengasthof Sabathy, where you can indulge yourself extensively. The way back is the same as on the way there.

Traveling to Obdach in the Murtal tourism region can be done in several ways:

By Car:

Obdach is conveniently located in Styria, Austria. Here are some routes:

From Vienna (approx. 2.5 hours): Take the A2 motorway towards Graz, then the S36 towards Judenburg, and finally the B78 to Obdach.
From Graz (approx. 1 hour): Take the A9 motorway towards Linz, then the S36 towards Judenburg, and finally the B78 to Obdach.
From Salzburg (approx. 2 hours): Take the A10 motorway towards Villach, then the B96 towards Tamsweg, continue on the B97, and finally the B78 to Obdach.

By Train:

The nearest train station is in Judenburg. From there, you can take a bus to Obdach or hire a taxi.

By Bus:

There are regional bus services that connect Obdach with nearby towns and cities. Check the schedules of regional bus companies for precise information.
