Judenburg

The Judenburg City Museum presents the historical development of the region from the Stone Age to modern times.

Current information

Actually you find a special exhibition about the 2nd Worldwar in the city museum

The founding of the Judenburg City Museum in 1948 was initiated by the collector Ernst Klepsch-Kirchner, who moved from Vienna, and the local resident Betty Perwein. Since 1990, the museum has been located in the spacious building on Kaserngasse.
A panoramic model on the ground floor offers visitors an overview of the medieval and modern urban topography. The historical exhibition in the two upper floors features 16 dioramas by local artist Anna Krotschek, which—supplemented by documents and objects—illustrate important stages of Judenburg's urban history in period-typical scenes.
