Municipal office Pusterwald

The municipality of Pusterwald is located in the Murtal district in Styria and has around 426 inhabitants. It is situated in a picturesque valley surrounded by 15 peaks over 2000 meters, with an altitude ranging from about 951 to 2,363 meters at the highest mountain, the Hohewart. The municipality covers an area of approximately 105 km² and is characterized by pristine nature with numerous alpine pastures and a rich mountainous environment.

Pusterwald was first documented in the Middle Ages and today captivates with its natural and cultural landscape. The municipality is also known for its award as the most beautiful village in Europe in 2019 and has been recognized multiple times as the most beautiful mountain flower village in Styria.
