Comfortable shady hike. The summit offers fantastic viewpoints of the picturesque landscape of Krakau.
This is a moderately difficult hiking tour, which therefore requires a certain level of fitness and endurance.
Tip: The Woadschober is also called "Wadschober" on the information boards, also "Waadschober", the summit booklet reads "Weidschober".

From Vienna on the A 2 and S 6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. O., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau.

West, north:
From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A 12, A 93 and A 8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A 10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here on the B 96 to Tamsweg and on towards Murau via Sauerfeld to Krakau.
South:
From Klagenfurt on the B 83 to Scheifling. Then on the B 96 to Murau and further into the Krakau.
Walk along the northern shore of Schattensee lake, then follow forest road no. 8. This road winds its way uphill, crossing a large ditch, to the Weidalm. You walk past the hut and follow the trail markers westward, ascending the meadow ridge of the Woadschober. You hike to the right to the highest point; slightly before that, on the left northward, you will find the book box on a tree.
