From the spring to the stream to the limestone, where water no longer occurs – the first stage of the Via Natura “Water Habitat” shows how diverse water landscapes can be.
The first stage of the Via Natura leads from Neumarkt's main square to Zeutschach. Along the way, you'll find the Graggerschlucht Natura 2000 protected area with a cascading waterfall. The spring in Zeutschach is one of the most beautiful spots in the nature park. 120 liters of clear spring water bubble up from it. Once there, the trail leads up to the Maria Schönanger pilgrimage church. From there, the alpine path leads to the 1st Grebenzen Höhe. In spring, the Kalkberg is enveloped in a veritable sea of flowers. The mountain is part of the limestone areas and thus represents a geological feature in the nature park, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Once you arrive in St. Lambrecht, a tour of the 950-year-old Benedictine monastery is worthwhile.
