A longer but fantastic tour with magnificent views! The last few meters are secured with a steel cable so that you can reach the summit.

The hike offers magnificent views and breathtaking mountain scenery! In terms of landscape, it is a great tour with many small lakes and large karens. The tour requires a little mountain experience and can quickly become dangerous in wet or snowy conditions. The effort of the ascent is rewarded with a magnificent panorama. The tour is recommended for all hikers up to the lake in Wiegenkar.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Here turn right in the direction of Murau. In Murau turn right again to Ranten, continue to Krakau.

Coming from Tamsweg via Seetal, as fas as Krakau.

From the Klausner Säge parking lot, a forest road, hiking trail , leads trough the Ranten valley. At a fork, we follow the signpost to the Rantensee on the right. Before we reach the lake, we turn right at a rock with a memorial and a sign in the direction of the Predigtsuhl. The path leads uphill, with a wonderful view of the Rantensee and the Rantental, until we come to another lake. There, at a fork in the path, we turn left uphill to another fork, keeping to the right there.

We cross the path below the block gully and go up to the left of it to a third lake. Passing under it, we keep to the markings until we go left at another fork, very steeply up to the south-east flank. After a short piece of ridge, it goes slightly downhill again. Then we cross the slope to the right to then climb steeply over scree. Following the south-east ridge along a rock band, the secured summit climb begins after a short downhill section.

Tread strength and freedom from vertigo must be given.
