We start at the hiking trailhead/information point and walk east along the road to the village museum and continue through the settlement, following trail marker no. 8 to a fork in the road with a bench. Here we turn right and follow the gently sloping path, which mainly leads across fields, towards Rantenbach. After the bridge over the Rantenbach, we turn right to the Mautmühle and from there continue about 300 m further up the valley to a bridge with a gate. We cross this bridge and follow trail 9B back to the starting point.
