Discover the picturesque landscapes around Krakua and explore one or two secret places. You'll get your money's worth on this snowshoe hike at Lake Etrach. The lake lies peacefully, nestled in the forests of Krakau and takes its winter nap.

More information
East: From Vienna on the A 2 and S 6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. E., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakow.
West, North: From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A 12, A 93 and A 8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A 10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here on the B 96 to Tamsweg and further towards Murau via Sauerfeld to Krakow.
South: From Klagenfurt on the B 83 to Scheifling. Then take the B 96 to Murau and on to Krakow.
Immediately after the Hotel Stigenwirth, the path branches off to Lake Etrach and leads over a slightly ascending road to the farmstead. Höfl. After another 100 m to the east, footpath no. 7 branches off to Lake Etrach. Walking time to Lake Etrach approx. 1.5 hours, approx. 100 m altitude difference, approx. 5 km. We go back the same way.
Depending on the snow conditions, a further hike to the Rudolf Schober Hut is possible.
