From the starting point S3, walk towards the Althofen fire station, turn right there and walk uphill towards the Klein- and Großsteiner farms. From there, continue to the Krenold farmstead, which offers a magnificent view of the valley. Then follow the gravel path for a while, which then turns into an asphalt road until you reach Mühltratte. From here, continue along a forest and meadow path to the Buttererkreuz. Then turn right onto the road and continue straight ahead until you reach the Schwarze Sau intersection. At this intersection, turn left and walk downhill for a short distance to the forest path, past the Luagtrattner farmstead, on to the Trattner inn and on to St. Peter am Kammersberg to the parish house. From there, follow the signs via the Kirschsteig to the main road and on to the Katschbach. Passing the Volz mill, a forest path (gravel path) leads to the Speckbauer am Glanz. The forest path continues to the Handl farm, and the descent leads towards Peterdorf via the Kleinburger farmstead along a forest and meadow path to Peterdorf. Once you reach the village, keep to the right and hike along the Katschbach stream back to the starting point.
