Rupert Ferner
Welcome to the Ferner farm, also known as Tonner, where farming has been practiced at the foot of the Zirbitzkogel for generations. We are Rupert and Elfriede, along with our adult daughters Johanna, Konstanze, and Christina, and of course Grandma Linde. Here you will find an authentic farm; we still live off agriculture. Our main line of business is dairy farming; we have grassland and forest. Currently, we have around 100 cattle, including about 40 dairy cows. We also have some sheep to graze the steep areas, 2 pigs to avoid wasting our food scraps, a few chickens for breakfast eggs, and rabbits and cats to cuddle and love.
And of course, our horses: Rupert Ferner has been breeding Haflinger horses for 40 years; all of our horses were born and raised here and have also passed away here.
