Host information
In 1935, Maria and Florian Trattner (1st generation) bought the ancestral farm Rüstenwinkler. Around 1947, they began to consider creating additional income, and since the farmhouse was already very spacious at that time, they offered "guest rooms" and noticed that people, being very undemanding, greatly enjoyed the "holiday on the farm." Especially during the summer vacation from the cities. It quickly became clear that there was not enough space, and the entire farmhouse was expanded from 1954 to 1958 to accommodate more guests.
At that time, in the 1950s and early 1960s, 20 - 25 guests could be accommodated in the farmhouse! They were the first establishment in St. Peter am Kammersberg to host guests.
In 1963/64, the first part of the dining room for about 40 people was built, and at the same time, my grandparents Christiana and Anton Trattner (2nd generation) registered the inn commercially.
In the mid-1970s, the guesthouse with 10 guest rooms was established, allowing us to accommodate 20-25 guests. Furthermore, the dining room was expanded for about 80 people. In 1996, Marianne and Johann Trattner (3rd generation) took over the business and made further investments such as a new farm access road and sewer connection, renewal of the rooms and sanitary facilities.
In 2018, Marion and Peter Trattner took over the business in the 4th generation. The establishment is still run as a "family business" where everyone pitches in!
They renovated the dining room and completely remodeled the farmhouse. Most recently, a new heating system for the entire establishment was built.
The Trattner family is very concerned about the well-being of their guests. They particularly value personality and extraordinary hospitality.
