A vacation at the mountain hut Reissnerhof means finding peace, experiencing unforgettable moments together, and collecting memories.
The renovated mountain hut is located in complete solitude at an altitude of 1300m with a beautiful view. It used to be a mountain farmer's house and was renovated by us in 2020. Our hut is spacious and furnished with much love and care. In addition to the well-equipped kitchen, we placed value on preserving the character of the house. Wood stoves and the infrared heating panels exude cozy warmth and natural romance. We are particularly proud of our new terrace where you can enjoy the day, whether it’s sunny, rainy, or snowy.
In every season, this sunny spot offers plenty of time to enjoy and recharge. Leave your everyday life behind, relax in the quiet and beautiful landscape, or dive into the diverse vacation attractions of the Murau region. There is plenty of space around the hut for our children to play in nature, as well as to grill or enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the morning sun.
Whether it’s mountain experiences or relaxed trips to lakes, alpine huts, or nature experiences in the region. From spring to autumn, one enjoys hiking, biking, or refreshing bathing fun. There are also many interesting experiences for our children in our region.
From the mountain hut Reissnerhof, you can easily reach the ski areas Kreischberg, Lachtal, and Krakow. Whether cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowshoe hiking, or winter hiking, everything is possible in our surroundings.
Visiting us for the first time? Don’t worry! We will take you directly to the hut and explain "the house customs" without stress. The hut is easily accessible by car via a forest road. However, in winter, we are very diligent in clearing the forest road, but carrying snow chains is highly recommended and beneficial in our region.

Good to know!
Our mountain hut costs €105 (per night) in summer and €110 per night for up to 2 people,
For each additional person, we charge €15 (per night). Final cleaning and local tax are extra.
Included are bed linen, towels, wood for stoves, and electricity.
A deposit of 30% is required upon booking.
The total amount can be transferred or paid in cash upon arrival.
Shops are reachable within 15 minutes by car.
The farmers' shop in Murau offers many regional farming products!
Weekly market every Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the main square in Murau.
