December 31, 2025: New Year's Eve at the Tonnerhütte starting at 6:00 PM.
We start with a fine New Year's Eve menu. With live music, we will celebrate the end of the year in a cozy and fun atmosphere and welcome the year 2026 with a fireworks display. We look forward to your table reservation.

The Almdorf Tonnerhütte has been family-owned since 1937. 3 alpine huts and 8 apartments are idyllically situated at an altitude of 1600m, surrounded by alpine meadows and larch forests, with a panorama that embraces the soul. The Zirbitzkogel, towering powerfully at 2396m above the Almdorf, overlooks the nature park Zirbitzkogel Grebenzen with its gentle mountain ridges. The luxury is the seclusion – ideal for escaping the hectic world.

The culinary and communicative center of the Almdorf is the Tonnerhütte with the AlmKuchl. Meals are prepared fresh, wholesome, and seasonal. Most of the ingredients are organic and from the region – just like in the past.

Daily, chef Wolfgang and his team prepare several traditional dishes, one of which is vegetarian and alkaline. We spare the journey to the Alm for convenience foods. Cooking is done with energy from our own hydropower or wood. In the cozy room that scents of larch wood, dining is truly delightful. For meals, we recommend homemade juices, crystal-clear water from the AlmBrunn’, exquisite Austrian wines, or a good glass of beer.

A new alpine experience is offered by "Der Kugl-Woid" - four unique wooden slides made from local larch – each with its own little surprise.
