The 48-metre-long main supporting structure of longitudinal trusses is made of larch wood. The bridge, which was considered the longest self-supporting wooden bridge in Europe when it was built, was constructed using glued laminated timber. It was awarded the Styrian Timber Construction Prize in 2001.
