Mursteg Stadl an der Mur bike bridge
Stadl-Predlitz
The bridge sees itself as a "gateway to the Mur Valley" and impressively demonstrates the possible uses of wood as a building material.
The nine meter high lateral arches made of larch plywood are not only visually striking, but also form a proven support system. The 44.5 meter long footbridge made of larch plywood was built in the run-up to the "Holzzeit" state exhibition in 1995. The bridge for bicycle and pedestrian traffic is therefore one of the early projects of the Holzstraße.
