Along the mountain ridge and the district borders to Murtal and Liezen, the three peaks of Hohenwart, Eiskarspitz, and Glattjoch are climbed.
From the Schöttlalm, you head to the northeastern corner of the Murau region. In addition to summit victories and a wonderful view of the Fischsee and Wildsee lakes and the mountain landscapes of the Murau, Murtal, and Schladming-Dachstein regions, this mountain tour offers a cultural highlight. The Glattjoch Chapel stands at the Glattjoch, an old pass between the Wölzertal and Ennstal valleys. It is a unique building in Central Europe and is also the highest sacred building in Europe.

From the Schöttlkapelle parking lot, the trail is almost flat to the end of the valley at the Schöttljagdhaus (1,456 m). In this area, don't miss the fork in the trail over the stream and follow the wooden signpost “Hohenwart”/“Fischsee.” Still on a wide trail, the trail climbs moderately in the forest to the northeast to the Pemlerhütte and continue across open terrain past the Fischsee lake below the Pölseck Joch. Here, the marked trail from the Pusterwald side joins our path. The trail zigzags steeply but easily to the edge of the summit plateau, from where you can walk across to the summit cross of the Hohenwart. The descent leads westward into a wide saddle and, after a short climb, to the Eiskarspitze. From here, the trail descends steeply into another saddle and then follows a small path, which requires surefootedness, across
the entire ridge, following trail no. 10 to the Glattjoch. From here, follow marker no. 936 until you reach a wide cirque and descend along the Weber stream to the Schöttljagdhaus, from where you return on the familiar gravel road down to the parking lot at the Schöttlkapelle.

Due to the length and duration, a certain level of fitness, endurance, and sure-footedness are required.
