This hikek scores with sive summits in the beautiful Lachtal. It is a longer tour, but one that rewards you with some special summit moments and excellent wide views!

Coming from Vienna/Graz on the Murtal expressway S36 to Judenburg. On the Murtal-Bundesstraße B317 via Rothenturm to St. Peter ob Judenburg. On the Triebener Bundesstraße B114 to Unterzeiring. Via Oberzeiring the direction of Gellsee turn right into Lachtal.

From Linz /Germany on the Phyrnautobahn A9 to Trieben. On the federal road B114 via the Triebener Tauern to Unterzeiring. Via Oberzeiring in the direcrion of Gellsee, and turn right to Lachtal.

Coming from Klagenfurt or Italy on the B83 over the Perchauer Sattel to Scheifling. Continue on the B96 to Niederwölz. On the B75 in the direction of Schiltern. Turn right in the direction of Lachtal, continue over the Hochegger Sattel (Gellsee) to Lachtal.

From the parking lot of the 6-seater chairlift of the Lachtal cable cars, hike past Café Hannes to the Hirzmannalm turnoff.

From there, follow the forest road and the markings to Schönbergkopf and the Tanzstatt chapel. Continue past the Tanzstatt lake. Follow trial no. 958 along the ridge to the Kleiner Zinken and continue along trail no. 956 to the Hoher Zinken. From here, climb moderately along the main ridge to Schießeck. Then walk along the ridge over the Knappenstein to the Roßalmkreuz.

Continue via the Großlachtalhütte to the Kleinlachtalhütte, from there to the Heberthütte and from here back to the starting point.
