A non-technical but longer mountain hike across the breathtaking Hinteralm. Suitable for children with good endurance. In summer, the Halterhütte on the Hinteralm is staffed.
A peaceful natural gem in northeastern Styria.
The Lachalm extension is highly recommended but requires an additional 1 to 1.5 hours of hiking time.
From Krampen, the route follows the new Lachalmweg to the Falkensteinalm, then continues over the Hinteralmstock to Frein an der Mürz.
This tour is also popular among pilgrims heading to Mariazell and begins along the new Lachalmsteig.

From Krampen, the route follows the new Lachalmsteig to the Falkensteinalm. It continues toward the Hinteralm and the Lachalm, which is staffed in summer.
From the Hinteralm, the trail descends via the beautiful Rosswiese to Frein an der Mürz.
The upper Mürztal offers several interesting sights, including:

- Glassblowing workshop at Kaiserhof
- Neuberg Nature Museum with the Schliefsteiner Collection
- The world’s largest spinning wheel in Kapellen
