A comfortable and short 'hike' to one of the most beautiful viewpoints high above the Mur and Mürz. Shorter steeper sections, but mostly wide and paved paths. However, there is no winter service, and it is not fully accessible!

Actually an alternative old town walk with a summit achievement.

From the greater Vienna area via the A2 Südautobahn motorway and the S6 Semmering motorway to Bruck an der Mur.

Here at the new roundabout ‘Bruck Süd’ on the new Europabrücke bridge over the Mur and via Herzog-Ernst-Gasse and Kreckerstraße to the church square/parish church not far from the main square.

 From Graz and Slovenia via the A9 Pyhrn motorway to Bruck an der Mur. Continue as above.

 From Linz/Salzburg or from Germany via the A9 Pyhrn motorway to Bruck an der Mur. Continue as above.

The combination of the old town walk, the Mur terraces loop, and the castle hill hike is one of the most beautiful city hikes in Upper Styria.
