More information
Vienna or Graz – Kindberg – from there, take the mountain road (turnoff at the swimming pool) to the GH Pölzl (signpost).
From the GH Pölzl, follow the former ski slope and a forest path to the Maurerkreuz. From there, descend to the Troiseckalm and follow the forest road leading uphill behind the hut towards the Maurerhuabn'. Continue along this forest road, which gently ascends, until it ends.
Here, a narrow path (tractor tracks) branches off to the right. Initially steep, the unmarked trail then becomes gentler as it heads toward Troiseck. The last few meters to the Troiseck summit are across a meadow to the summit cross.
For the descent, follow the well-marked classic Troiseck trail back to the Maurerkreuz.
Instead of returning directly to the starting point, head westward on a flat path towards the unassuming Töllamoarkogel (summit register), and continue downhill to the Töllamoaralm, which is open on Sundays. From here, cross the alpine meadow and take a forest and hollow path back to the GH Pölzl.
The small Töllamoaralm (marked as a hunting lodge on the map, south of Töllamoarkogel) is open every Sunday.
Accessible only to Kindberg, from there follow the so-called "Herzerlfresserweg" for about 1.5 hours to the GH Pölzl.
