Coming from Vienna on the S6 Semmering motorway - exit Langenwang.
Coming from Graz on the S6 Semmering motorway, take the Langenwang exit.
We start our mountain bike tour in the centre of Langenwang and ride along the main road (Wiener Straße) towards Hönigsberg. At the ‘Raingasse’ junction, we turn left and follow the R5 Mürztal cycle path. We follow the road up the Hönigsberg, pass a barrier and keep left at the Hönigsbergalm junction. If you like, you can cycle to the Hönigsbergalm and fortify yourself for the rest of the route. However, we continue past the Wetterkreuz to the Lammeralm. This panoramic section offers us marvellous views of the Mürztal valley and the Fischbach Alps. From the Lammeralm, we cycle another short stretch and finally reach the Malleisten Alm. Here we take a well-earned break at the Almhalter and fortify ourselves for the rest of the route. On the descent, we can choose from 2 options: via the Malleisten Alm and the Feistitzberg back to Langenwang, or via the Malleisten to Krieglach and from here via the R5 Mürztal cycle path back to Langenwang.
- The Malleisten Alm - Hönigsberg Alm section of the route offers fantastic panoramic views!
- Refreshment stops at the Malleisten Alm and the Hönigsberg Alm.
