Hike to the highest mountain in Kindberg at an elevation of 1,448 m, offering a magnificent view over the Mürztal.

A somewhat challenging hike to Schwarzkogel, featuring steeper sections through forest and meadow areas at the beginning.

From Brandnerkogel, the hike becomes more relaxed, offering a spectacular panoramic view over the Mürztal.

Coming from Allerheiligen, head toward Jasnitz, passing Eibeggwirt, and continue toward Breitenau/Eibeggsattel.

The starting point and parking area is at Eibeggsattel. From there, we first hike north toward the Eibegghütte, following the trail markings.

At the beginning, the route features steep sections, leading us to Brandnerkogel. Along the way, we enjoy beautiful views of Breitenau as we continue at a more relaxed pace toward Schwarzkogel.

The trail includes several ascents and descents, passing a hunting lodge and a rocky ridge. Upon reaching Grabenbauerhöhe, we make a sharp right turn, arriving at a junction of multiple forest roads.

We continue straight uphill, and after a narrow, steep but short ascent, we finally reach Schwarzkogel at 1,448 m. From the summit, we are rewarded with a magnificent view over the Mürztal.

We return via the same route and finish our hike with a refreshing stop at Eibegghütte.

Parking is directly at Eibeggsattel.

There are no refreshment options at Schwarzkogel itself. The nearest place to stop for a break is the Eibegghütte, which is on the way.

The ascent and descent can also be done via Allerheiligen.
