From Pischkalm, the trail follows forest roads and woodland paths up to Rennfeld, with the return route following the same path as the ascent.
From Pischkalm, first follow a short forest road, then cross it multiple times, continuing on woodland paths until reaching the junction for the Jahnweg (marked). From here, you can either take the forest road to the left, which is easier and longer, reaching the summit in about 1 hour, or take the more direct, steep route via the Jahn summit, reaching the Rennfeld summit in about 45 minutes.
