From the Alpine Inn Kirl, hike through alpine meadows, forest paths, and forest roads to Rosseck. Here, descend briefly, then follow a forest road to Mugel (mountain shelter, summit cross). Return via the same route.

From the Bruck district of Oberaich, through the Utschgraben to the Alpine Inn Kirl. Be sure not to miss the marked turnoff in Utschgraben!

The rather lesser-known route follows a marked hiking trail along Schafberg, first reaching Rosseck. At the summit cross, there is a lovely resting spot with a breathtaking view. From there, the trail continues on to Mugel and the mountain shelter.

If you get hungry during the descent, you can take the turnoff to the "Lanner-Huab'n" just after the second gate (winter parking area). (This turnoff is hard to miss due to the clear signs.)

The Alpine Inn Kirl is unfortunately not accessible by public transport.

There is ample parking available at the Alpine Inn Kirl.
