The bass-baritone and multiple award winner and scholarship holder THOMAS TATZL hails from Aflenz and studied singing in Graz and Vienna.
On the opera stage, he has performed as Ford (Falstaff) in Cagliari, as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) in Ravenna, Novara, and Piacenza, as Papageno at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, in Turin, Valencia, and Cologne, as Nozze-Figaro in Rome and Beijing, as Collatinus (Rape of Lucretia) at the Maggio Musicale in Florence, in the premiere of Mauricio Sotelo's El Publico at the Teatro Real in Madrid, and in Peter von Winter's Labyrinth at the Salzburg Festival.
Furthermore, he was a member of the ensemble at the Zurich Opera, where he performed in Un ballo in maschera, Palestrina, La fanciulla del West, and Aus einem Totenhaus.
Thomas Tatzl is also in great demand internationally as a concert and oratorio singer.
