Advent in the Kapfenberg Old Town: This is what Christmas feels like.

When the main square transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland, it's that time again: The Kapfenberg Christmas Market opens its gates and invites you to marvel, indulge, and linger.

Every evening, there is live music with great artists and bands. Artfully decorated stalls showcase high-quality handicrafts, lovingly designed gift ideas, regional specialties, and culinary delights.

Highlights of the market:
• Live music with regional and national artists creates a festive atmosphere.
• Handicrafts from the region – from wooden works to handmade jewelry.
• Culinary offerings including punch, mulled wine, sweet treats, and savory snacks.
• Children's program on Sundays with activities and surprises for the youngest visitors.
Thus, Advent becomes an experience for the little ones as well.

Program:
On November 28, 2025, Tschebberwooky will open the Christmas market.
Continuing on November 29 with the Streetview Dixieclub.
On Sunday, November 30, The Family Tones will create a great atmosphere. Together with the children's friends and the Schinitz kindergarten, they will present a program for the whole family.

The Krampus will arrive on December 5 and will heat things up with BalladSchinke for the audience.
Christmas spirit will rise with Eva Moreno and Nikolo on December 6.
On December 7, there will be another program for the whole family – the Kapfenberger Music School will showcase their talents.
And on December 8, Oliver Haidt will enchant the Christmas market into a paradise of hits.

The Electric Blues Connection will start the third Advent weekend on December 12.
On December 13, singer and powerhouse PÄM will rock the stage.
Mundwerk will create a lively atmosphere on December 14 and will make Sunday a family day together with educators from the Kapfenberger kindergartens and the choirs of Kapfenberg Gymnasium.

The last weekend of the Christmas market starts on December 19 with the “Local Heroes” show day.
December 20 will be all about folk music when Harald Trippl and his Trippl Musi take the stage.
The finale will be on December 21 with the Kapfenberger Gospel Singers. With the Christ Child and one or two Santa Clauses, as well as a contemplative children's program by Nikolaus Neffe, the last Sunday will also be a day for the whole family.
