Trofaiach

Trofaiach is located on the Styrian Iron Road in the heart of Styria and directly on the Iron Trail, which leads through the ERZBERG LEOBEN regions. Due to ore & iron, the town and the surrounding communities have a long history. As a result of these years of development, a wide variety of independent cultures, customs and handicrafts have come into being. Some of these resulting pieces can be admired and marvelled at in museums, churches or simply in very special places and squares in the ERZBERG LEOBEN region. But culture in the "social" sense is also very important in Trofaiach. Around 90 associations enliven the town's life.

Trofaiach also stands for action, fun and variety. In the immediate vicinity there are numerous wonderful hiking and cycling tours - from challenging to family excursions. In winter, you can explore the fairytale winter landscape on cross-country skis along the Krumpenbach stream and snow-covered forests and alpine pastures invite you to go snowshoeing.
