The Krumpen cross-country trail in Hafning-Trofaiach has been awarded the "Styrian Cross-Country Skiing Seal of Quality" and offers the best conditions for classic skiers and skaters. In ERZBERB LAND, cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find what is becoming increasingly rare: extensive trails that wind through the natural landscape. Cross-country skiing at night is certainly one of the most fascinating experiences. The cross-country skiing trail is already floodlit at dusk and is available to cross-country skiing enthusiasts until 9:00 pm.

The Krumpen cross-country trail network is located on the edge of the Eisenerz Alps in the middle of ERZBERG LAND and, in addition to a great service, convinces with a beautiful landscape. At medium altitude, the cross-country ski trail leads into the Krumpengraben through enchanting forests along the Krumpenbach stream. The trail stretches over 10 km into the Krumpengraben (classic and skating) and has been awarded the Styrian trail quality seal. In the entry area there is a changing room, a ski rental and sufficient parking spaces. The 2.5km long training trail has an artificial snow system and floodlights until 9:00 pm.

coming from Vienna:

the S6 Semmering expressway in the direction of St. Michael i.O. to the Leoben-Ost exit, then follow the B115A in the direction of Vordernberg, Eisenerz and take the Hafning/Krumpenloipe exit.

We start at the information hut at the cross-country trail parking lot. The trail first leads along the 2.5km long training trail. Then the cross-country trail winds along the Krumpenbach and past the unique natural landscape of the Krumpengraben to the turning point with a view of the Eisenerzer Reichenstein.
