Cross-country skiing trail Tragöß - Green Lake

In summer, the Green Lake is one of Austria's most popular excursion destinations. But in winter, you should not miss out on experiencing the region around the crystal-clear meltwater lake. Nestled in a valley, you can enjoy cross-country skiing here at the foot of the Hochschwab.

Three perfectly groomed cross-country trails lead through the approximately 15 km long network. It doesn't matter whether you opt for the somewhat easier variant or the more difficult one - you are in good hands here. With the equipment rental directly at the trail entrance, nothing stands in the way of cross-country skiing pleasure.

Interesting facts about the cross-country skiing region

• The cross-country skiing network extends over a total length of 14.5 km and includes three trails with different levels of difficulty: Panorama trail, difficult, 3.5 km / Forest trail, medium, 4.5 km / Meadow trail, easy, 6.5 km.
• The altitude is between 750 m - 850 m above sea level.
• A snow-making system ensures a high degree of snow reliability and makes sure that you can still cover one or two kilometres of track in spring.
• All trails are suitable for both classic and skating styles.
• The starting point for entering the trails is the car park of the Tragöß Green Lake tourist information office, where you can also rent cross-country skiing equipment.
• For cross-country skiers, the on-site parking fee is waived for the validity period of a day or season ticket!
• The cross-country trail in Tragöß has been awarded the Styrian Cross-Country Skiing Seal of Quality.
