Ski tour from Bad Mitterndorf/Zauchen to the Tauplitzalm

The ski tour from Bad Mitterndorf-Zauchen to the Tauplitzalm is a moderately difficult route with about 850 meters of elevation gain and roughly 2 hours of ascent along a forest road. It is well suited for beginners and evening tours. Several huts at the top invite you to rest; descent is possible via the ascent route or the ski slopes. The ski tour from Bad Mitterndorf-Zauchen to the Tauplitzalm is an easy to moderately difficult route with around 850 meters of elevation gain. The ascent starts in the district of Zauchen (approx. 800 m) and follows a forest road with a steady incline through wooded terrain up to the Tauplitzalm (approx. 1,650 m), taking about 2 hours. The route is ideal for beginners, training tours, or evening climbs. At the top, several huts such as the  Berggasthof Hollhaus invites you to take a break, and in good conditions, summits like Lawinenstein or Traweng can be reached. The descent usually follows the ascent route or, alternatively, the ski slopes back to the valley.
