SkillThe tour in numbers
At an altitude of 1,600 meters, the Sturzhahn Trail at Tauplitzalm leads through an incomparable mountain landscape, passing alpine huts along the way. The gently undulating terrain makes it a varied route that offers both a sporting challenge and pure enjoyment of nature.
Thanks to its high-altitude location, the season usually lasts from November until Easter. The perfectly groomed trail, ideal for the skating style, is suitable for both endurance-trained cross-country skiers and those who prefer a more relaxed ski touring experience.
Tauplitzalm can be reached via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road. It is recommended to take the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road bus, as there is a special cross-country ski ticket available for one day – including both the bus ride up and down the mountain. Alternatively, the Tauplitz cable cars can be used, where this ticket is also valid. Free parking is available at the valley station of the Tauplitz cable cars.
The Digitale Loipenkarte is available on the website of the Ausseerland Salzkammergut Tourist Association. Ski pass prices can be found at – www.loipenticket.at. Brochures can be conveniently ordered and delivered to any address under Prospektbestellung. All informatoins about cross country at our cross-country newsletterBest season
