Due to heavy icing, the winter hiking trail around the lake Ödensee ist closed.

The perfect winter walk for the whole family with a stop at the Kohlröserlhütte "Genuss am See".

The circular trail around Lake Ödensee in Pichl-Kainisch is an easy and family-friendly walk. Covering about 2.3 kilometers, the mostly flat and well-maintained path takes around 45 minutes to circle the idyllic moor lake in the Ausseerland region. The route leads through a varied landscape of forest sections and open lakeside areas, offering beautiful views of the frozen lake and snow-covered mountains in winter.

The trail is suitable for strollers and dogs, though visitors are asked to follow the local information signs. To finish the walk, the lakeside café Genuss am See – Kohlröserlhütte invites you to enjoy coffee and cake.

Ample parking is available directly at the starting point, making this a pleasant and stress-free excursion for families, walkers, and nature lovers alike.

The best way to get to Ödensee is to plan with google.at/maps.

At the parking lot begins the path up to the Kohlröserlhütte "Genuss am See". Then the tour around the Ödensee already begins. The path is ideally suited for families, as it is very easy to walk. Smaller children can be pulled comfortably with the sledge or the bob.

Please in some short places for consideration for the cross-country skiers, who also use this track as a skating track.
