At any time of day, the area around the Seewiese attracts many walkers. The view over the lake to the Dachstein is unique.

The Jagdhaus Seewiese or the Seewiese Altaussee invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

A comfortable return trip across the lake to the Madlmaier landing stage can be chosen with the solar boat.

From May to October the Seewiese is accessible on foot via the Promenadenweg, or with the solar boat of the Altaussee Schifffahrt.

In winter, the Promenadenweg (Kaltenbrunn to Strandcafe) is closed due to falling rocks and avalanche danger.
