For years, the traditional carnival parade through the town center has been a fixed point of the carnival in Altaussee. Many groups, from large to small, participate in this parade, which begins at the inn Postillion and ends in the Kurpark Altaussee. Not only do the participants come up with special costumes, but the spectators also dress up for the event.
